Dajjal - Anti-Christ, liar, deceiver. Also known as Pseudo Messiah (Al-Masih-ad-Dajjal).

Dayyan - A judge.

Dhat-Irq - Miqat for the pilgrims coming from Iraq.

Dhat-un-Nitaqain - Asma', the daughter of Abu Bakr.

Dhaw-ul-Arham - Relatives on the maternal side.

Dhimmi - A non-Muslim living under the protection of the Islamic government.

Dhu-Mahram - A man, whom a woman can never marry because of a close relationship. (father, brother, uncle)

Dhul-Fara'id - Those persons that share of inheritance as described in the Quran.

Dhu'l-Hijjah - The 12th month of the Islamic calendar. The month in which the great pilgrimage to Mecca takes place.

Dhul-Hulaifah - The miqat of the people of Medina now called 'Abyar'Ali.

Dhul-Qa'dah - The eleventh month of the Islamic calendar year.

Dhul-Qarnain - A great ruler in the past who ruled all over the world, and was a true
believe.

Dhu-Tuwa - It is one of the valleys of Mecca and there is a well-known well in it. In the lifetime of the Prophet (pbuh), Mecca was a small city and this well was outside the precincts.

Dibaj - Pure silk cloth.

Dinar - An ancient gold coin.

Diyah - (pl. Diyaat) Blood money, paid by the guilty to the relatives, as a compensation for killing, wounding, etc.

Duha - Forenoon.

Du'a - Supplication: invoking Allah for what ever one desires.

Duhr - Noon. The second obligatory prayer of the day. It can be prayed at any time between noon and mid-afternoon.
