B

Badanah - A camel, cow or oxen to be driven to and be offered as a sacrifice, by the pilgrims at the sanctuary of Mecca.

Badr - Site of the first great battle between Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and the pagans of the Quraish in 2 A.H.

Bahirah - A milking she camel, whose milk used to be spared for idols and other false deities.

Bai'ah - A pledge given by the citizens to their Imam to be obedient to him according to the Islamic religion.

Bai'at-ur-Ridwan - The oath and pledge taken by the Sahabah at Al-Hudaibiyah in the year 6 H to fight Quraish in case they harmed 'Uthman who had gone to negotiate with them and reported to have been taken captive.

Al-Bait-ul-Ma'mur - Allah's House over the s seventh heaven.

Bait-ul-Maqdis - Bait means house. A mosque is frequently called Baitullah (the house of Allah) Bait-ul-Maqdis is Al-Aqsa Mosque, the famous Masjid in Al-Quds (Jerusalem). It was the first Qiblah of Islam. Then Allah Ta'ala ordered Muslims to face the first House of Allah, the Ka'bah, at Mecca (Saudi Arabia). Baitul Maqdis is the third greatest Masjid in the Islamic world, the first being the Masjid Al-Haram in Mecca, and the second being the Masjid al-Rasool, the Mosque of the Prophet (pbuh).

Balam - ox

Banu Al-Asfar - The Byzantines.

Baqi' - A cemetery in Medina. Many of the companions of the Prophet (pbuh) are buried there.

Barr - Pious

Bid'ah - Any innovated practice in the religion.

Bint Labun - Two year old she camel.

Bint Makhad - One year old she camel.

Bismi Allahi Ar-Rahman Ar-Rahim - "In the name of Allah, the Most Kind, the Most Merciful."

Buraq - An animal bigger than a donkey and smaller than a horse on which the Prophet (pbuh) went for the Mi'raj, ascent to the heavens.
